The new API Poller is not subject to the default view limitations.
Most of the time a new API Poller is a functional requirement and you want to separate it from the technical side.
If you create an API poller and add an alert to it, this alert will be displayed in every view (views are filtered by view limitation) although the team has nothing to do with it.
