SQL Sentry mobile app with push notifications

Hi,

In the past, there was a mobile app for SQL Sentry Monitor (the PaaS solution which was deprecated).

We received multiple requests from our customers asking for a mobile app that can receive push notifications for alerts triggered by their SQL Sentry targets.

If the same app could also provide charts and graphs that could be great, but I think the alert notifications are more critical.

This is for on-prem installations of SQL Sentry, which may have external access for outgoing REST API requests.

Are there any future plans for such a thing?

Hi Eitan. Currently, there are no plans for a dedicated mobile app for SQL Sentry. Having said that, we are working hard on expanding the capabilities of the SQL Sentry Portal, and a big part of it is integrations and reworking our alerting engine. Stay tuned for more details.

At least one of your competitors i am aware of, is already offering this functionality

I can acknowledge and confirm that this is a serious point of consideration when choosing a suit to fit the needs of DBA's

Having real-time performance metrics/alerts from my data farm, at my fingertips all the time without having to fire up my laptop is VERY sought after

That's not going to be helpful as long as the SQL Sentry Portal doesn't support mobile devices
