Current Approval e-mail observation / limitation : The current approval mail has following 3 sections:
1) Approval Info - Approval Process - Approval Step - My Vote
2) Client Info
3) Ticket Info
If we consider "Approval Info" section it has two portions one is the approval steps & the approval vote.
Problem with this email format has been more logical in nature.
When do people need to approve a IT request using email (when on move/travelling/not at desk) so the preferred tool is a mobile device with an email client.
1) How can some one approve the IT request without going through the entire ticket (and the approval section is at the top of the email)
2) If users going through the approval mail he has to scroll the mail down first & up once done to approve the ticket/request.
Solution:
Keep the approval section at the bottom of the email to avoid user/admin/HOD/CIO/CTO to get annoyed of approving IT requests on e-mail.
Can we change the current approval Email template ? (NO)
Have we check with Solarwinds Support team ? (yes) and the support team's answer to this is raise a feature request
