I have been told by SW that there is a built-in parent/child dependency for nodes/interface. I am submitting a request for SW to create a way to toggle that off and on.
We have remote offices with only one circuit. When that goes down, we only get the node alert for the router. However, we label the circuit interface with the circuit ID, making it easier to call the carrier (especially off-hours). When the node goes down, we don't get the interface alert notifying us.
