Add notes to nodes

I would like to submit a feature request for adding notes to nodes. It would be nice to have a notes section that would log date, time, logged in user and allow the addition of notes to that node. Example:

10/10/13 7:36 am admin - restarted due to faulty power.

I know there is a way currently but it does not log date and time, nor does it allow for quick additions to the notes. It also does not have its own notes table.

I agree. It would be great to be able to add a resource on each node details page specifically for notes. In my case, it would have been nice to be able to write down some notes on why several switches had been down. Would have saved me a lot of work trying to track down POC's for each device.
