Our Solarwinds installation is in an offline environment which is not allowed to be connected to the internet. This restricts for some small features which require an internet connection.
Some of these features have offline downloadable files which we can import into our Solarwinds installation by transferring via USB.
One such feature is the ability to download the vulnerability CISCO xml files offline and import them into Solarwinds.
Can a similar setup be done for warranty information?
We would like the ability to download some offline warranty information files that can be imported into Solarwinds so that the warranty information of devices can be displayed.
I was told by Solarwinds that.............
' As far as I’m aware I don’t think SAM can pull in warranty details via XML, as not directly supported.
SAM periodically checks the status of each server's warranty against Dell, HP, and IBM's online warranty validation servers, this is collected from the vendor websites and
stored in the Inventory tables. '
It would be great if the inventory tables could be edited to add this information and populate warranty information in SAM.
