We provide hosting/managed services and host customers in 1 facility. We need the abilitiy to assign the same location to multiple customers/companies.
We're in a similar situation. We are the in-house IT department for a company with 20+ highly autonomous subsidiaries that often share various buildings and suites. This puts us in the unfortunate position of either creating duplicate location records with the company name appended (which would make asset management a nightmare), or giving up and turning off the company object altogether; which will deprive us of features like company-based task lists and approval processes as well as company based client searches and other features we were looking forward to. For now we're going with the latter option, but we hope this can be addressed in the future.
Would using various Custom Properties resolve this issue?
