I'd like there to be a button within a ticket to automatically generate a child ticket and link it to the current ticket as a parent. Perhaps it could auto-populate fields based on the parent ticket?
I have created task and put it on a custom field called Dup Ticket.
Custom Field Duplicate Ticket (radio button) Yes or No
I added this field only to the request types that I want to perform Duplicate Tickets.
Task - Creates a ticket that copies the master ticket. The Inherit Value (all / none) is broken. When you select it, the system kicks you out of the task So I manually checked all the boxes that is available for the entire system.
Two Action Rules
Action Rule 1 - runs the task if Duplicate Ticket field is yes
Process 2 - Changes the Duplicate Ticket field to NO
This is working properly for our team. Let me know if you have any questions.
This workaround works well, thanks! Would be nice to have this feature built in, however.
