In reference to Using Custom Properties sending Alert emails - you can define a custom property for sending alert emails. However, you cannot use a variable in the default send email action at https://$orionserver/Orion/Admin/AlertSettings.aspx .

This ties back to my additional FR in the same vein . At least if we could do this one it would resolve other needs.
Another potential way to do this I could see is having solarwinds define some sort of email variable that can be addressed across...everything. That way I can just define the variable per object and not worry about fiddling with the alert ever. I could consolidate a lot of alerts this way.
