Workflow - visual tool

To create and follow workflow I believe it would be great if there would be a visual workflow tool available (like Visio).

The individual visual workflow diagram should be linked to the real tickets. Meaning that the tool can be used to open ticket(s) and see the progress of a workflow. This could be used for projects or day-to-day business. For example:

Purchasing and setup a PC

Order a PC - Ticket 1001

Order software - Ticket 1002

Order printer - Ticket 1003

Active network point - Ticket 1004

I saw this in a different call management software and it was absolutely brilliant.

Sounds like a fantastic idea, but pretty ambitious. I agree that this would be incredibly useful. Maybe an add-on of some sort?
