Assign Tech on ticket creation

Hi,

When we create a new ticket we only have the option to link a ticket to yourself or a tech group.

We would like the option to link this immediately to a specific tech. now we are obliged to close and reopen the ticket.

I believe you can use the rules engine for this and flag on specific Request Types on ticket creation. You can then assign it to a specific person.

timmeers is correct, the options for assigned tech are governed by the tech permissions that are defined for the tech group of which the tech creating the ticket belongs to. Speak to your admin about changing.
