I've been using SW for several years and one thing that annoys me is the continual shift in focus to new features.
- Rather than new features your focus should be towards making what you have today better.
- No one can argue that NPM graphs are probably the worst in the industry. Just take PRTG as an example, not the product per se, but their graphs - very granular, accurate, aesthetically pleasing and fast loading.
- IPAM has gone backwards, search function is very inadequate and customising the user GUI is extremely limited. The old interface was far more user friendly.
- Stop "forcing" users to adopt new features and interfaces when those new products don't support all of the old features. Cart-before-the-horse idiom.
- Application monitoring templates are old and outdated.
- Creating custom MIB pollers from discovery, testing and deployment is archaic.
- The entire SolarWinds product is gradually become slower and slower to use. Pages take forever to load, maps are very laggy. I believe the framework that SolarWinds is built upon has hit a ceiling. It is essentially becoming bloatware :-(
Thank you for your time.
