Bulk Audit Capability Using Hand or Bar Code Entry

Could an audit mode be created that instead of going through each individual asset and selecting it, to just having the assets listed all at once using a bar code scanner to hit each asset as it is audited or, just an input mode where it takes an asset tag from hand entering or bar code, and instantly marks it as audited.

I believe that trying to identify and create a faster way to audit assets be it this way or another, would be very helpful

At our company we use Hand held PDA with Win Mobile, it has a codebar scanner inbuilt. We usually, read the code and make a search on web helpdesk for the asset, intrudicing the audit date. It would be a nice feature searching and making the audit automatically, or even pull up the asset page for update if needed.

I think that the idea was when someone walks in that they can scan the barcode on their badge and it would bring up that persons assigned assets.Something like that.
