Instead of using failover engine, it would be must easier and more supportable to use Windows Failover clustering. This would provide the following benefits: - easier to setup and admin / similar to other windows server HA options - still supports local LAN or WAN (DR) scenarios - ability to have separate server names and have them both accessible on the domain at the same time. This is very important from a server management perspective (patching, monitoring, admin access, etc) - still have a single IP for the cluster that can easily move between nodes / datacenters
