Setting up an additional polling engine as the primary

Use Case Scenario Example

Our environment consists of two polling engines - Main and Additional. Whenever we add new nodes, they are added to the Main polling engine by default, unless we manually select the Additional polling engine.

However, the problem is that different teams are frequently adding new nodes to the SolarWinds environment, but they are adding it on the Main polling engine instead of the Additional one.

Want to know if it's possible to set the Additional polling engine as the primary engine, so that any new nodes added in the future will automatically be added to it without the need for manual selection.

Setting the default polling engine would be very useful to people who don't want to allocate nodes to the MPE.

This needs to be shifted to HCO or any one of the self hosted products, but it's a great idea.

This is an awesome question. I am sure that this has crossed my mind a couple of times in the past. I could not find a universal setting for this. I remember reading a similar question years ago that never really got answered, but had some good responses. Set default polling engine? I would say that this needs to be put in as a feature request.
