SolarWinds Observability | Notification Services settings
trying to set an alert that includes the IP address, the name of the node, and the windows service that has gone down
I was using New Relic for some things until I capped out my license limit. I leverage it as it works with our SOC2 provider application for monitoring things. SWO needs to get recognized by Drata, and others. But anyway, I tried with New Relic but no bueno.
I had this same issue and this is what I got from SW support:
"At this time, there is no publicly available comprehensive list of all supported tokens for alert messages. The best way to identify which tokens are supported in your alert is to use the variable insertion tool within the alert notification editor, which shows the variables valid for that alert type.
If you require more advanced or rich formatting with additional entity details, we recommend using webhook integrations. Webhooks allow you to send alert data to an external system where you can process and format the information as needed, including full HTML formatting.
This is the only related article about alerting:

These tokens looks like { {entityName} } as an example. I just wanted a list of them so I could use them.
