Map - open in full screen NOC view?

Greetings All.

Full disclosure - I am relatively new to Maps.

I've inherited a map of the United States with locations placed on the map.

Map currently exists as a widget on a (classic) dashboard.

Customer wants to display the map in a full-screen 'NOC' view on a situation board.*

Current method - from the current dashboard select 'View Mode'. When the map opens use the 'chevrons' to eliminate the navigation panes from the right and left.

Problem is, the resulting map then displays with white spaces on both sides.

This is not the desired result - customer wants the dashboard to open up with the map in full screen mode with no white spaces on the sides. I'm not quite sure how to product the desired reslult.

I welcome any ideas from the community on how to accomplish this result.

* I'm aware that 'NOC View' normally means a plurality of dashboard views that rotate. In this case just need a single dashboard to display in the format requested.

@robert777 @PHtheAdmin Unfortunately, engineering has confirmed this is a structural limitation that cannot easily be worked around. We will enter an item in the backlog as a feature request to research ways to make true full screen maps possible in NOC mode.

I heard something from an individual who has been at my current organization for several years. A previous map had a different "aspect ratio" that displayed the map in a more elongated format. Current map I guess has an aspect ratio of 4:3 which displays as a square. Previous map (now lost) had an aspect ratio of 16:9 which I'm told filled up the screen.

Please let me know if this makes sense to anyone in the community. Also please advise if we have a 'mother load' of map starters somewhere that I can look at and find a map to use for a background.

I’m newish to SolarWinds, and I'm not sure if this will help or is what you're asking for, but we display a single map to a screen and it shows mostly full screen.

Our setup:
Classic dashboard with NOC view enabled.

Select view and show as NOC view.

Then when it is up hit shift F11. Goes to full screen. The key combo may be different, but there’s no need to manually hide anything on the sides of the screen. It will still show some of the outline of the webpage but for us this works.

Just an idea from looking at our map, but if the white borders are too large possibly edit the map and make the objects larger/wider so that it covers more of the area available reducing white space when you go full screen. Personally we didn’t have to do this and our background is black so it isn’t as obvious that there’s free space sitting there.
