Greetings All.
I work in an environment where all Windows computers run in FIPS mode. SolarWinds agent deployment clearly says that remote deployment does not work in FIPS mode.
Questions: 1) can someone in the community provide more detail about just WHY remote deployment does not work in FIPS mode, 2) can anyone suggest a workaround for this limitation?
Reason: on-premises Active Directory environment using Domain Controllers. The only way to deploy and troubleshoot agents is Remote Desktop into the DC and execute manually. Due to 'security tightening' our monitoring team can no longer log into domain controllers. Looking for a workaround other than open-a-ticket-and-when-AD-team-gets-around-to-this-low-prioriy-task(for them)-they-can-deploy-or-troubleshoot-a-monitoring-agent.
Thanks in advance for any inputs from the community.
P.S. WMI monitoring probably not an option because we have multiple sites connected with not super fast WAN links.
