Orion Maps port priority and discovery discards

Hey,

I have two questions today 

1. I am monitoring a network device and when I add it into Orion maps its showing by default (automatically) the wrong port on my map between devices. Is there a way I can force Orion Maps to default to the correct connection? Or do I have to delete the connection in the maps and add in the port manually on each map? I have done this in the past but I can't remember the best way to do it so that Orion maps shows the correct connections without defaulting to a management connection between two devices.

2. When i'm discovering devices, can I set my discovery to not pickup the discards on a network port that i'm discovering. I don't want to stop the discovery of the ports altogether just the discards tick box within the port itself.

Hey Adam,

For point 1 (and I'm presuming you mean Intelligent Maps [ugh]) the only answer I can see is to untick the auto-connects and do them all manually. I've long asked for an option to be able to have auto-connects that I can delete rather than an all or nothing approach.

The other approach I take is, and this happened just today, is I had an auto-connect come up that was grey so I just created the new manual link over the top of it.

No idea on point 2.
