Running configuration wizard on servers covered by HA?

Greetings All.

Working in a shop with several polling servers covered by HA.  Site1_Server1 HA with Site2_Server1, etc. 

I want to start running the config wizard at regular intervals for maintenance.

The current game plan:

> fail over to Site2 server, run config wizard on Site1 server

> fail back to Site1 server, run config wizard on Site2 server

> etc.

Does this methodology make sense?  Anything else to keep in mind for running the config wizard in an HA environment?

My experience is that you MUST disable HA before running the configuration wizard. In fact, once I forgot to do so and it put both main polling engines into a state where each thought it was the secondary. I had to get technical support on the phone in order to fix it.
