Wireless Access Point Alert with upstream switch information

I am currently alerting on Wireless AP Up/Down.  Is there a way, using SWQL perhaps, to get the upstream switch information that the AP is connected to?  Currently, all the WAP's are detected through a centralized Wireless Controller.  We are a Cisco environment.  

How can I maybe use UDT to leverage this data in my alert?

You could just add a description to the switch port that the AP is plugged into such as "Access Point". Then write an interface down alert that looks for the "Access Point" description. In your alert just show which node is alerting.
