Cannot find SAM User Role in database

Hey!

I am trying to, in SWQL Studio, find where the SAM User Role setting is saved. I have checked every object indicating anything about SAM or APM, but cannot seem to find it. Does anyone know where this setting is stored?

That setting is not published into SWIS, so you wont be able to use SWQL Studio to view it. That data is stored in the database, in the table [dbo].[APM_WebUserPermissions].

You can query that table in the Database Manager, if you can RDP into the main polling engine, or if you can connect to the database using Microsoft SSMS.

There are other module permissions that do live in SWIS, they can be found here:

• Orion.WebUserSettings
  • SCM.SCMUserRole<span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span>&nbsp;= Admin roles SCM</span></span>
  • IPAM.IPAMAccountRole<span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span><span style="font-family:&#39;courier new&#39;, courier;">&nbsp;</span>= Admin roles IPAM</span></span>
  • NCM.NCMAccountRole<span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> = Admin roles NCM</span>
• Orion.SEUM.WebUserPermissions
  • <span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family:&#39;courier new&#39;, courier;">SEUM.SEUMAllowAdmin</span> = Admin roles for WPM.</span>

It has been a while, but some of those setting might not be present until the user logs in for the first time.
