Question: does Solarwinds have any kind of a detail log to track alert activity, especially alert actions?
Issue of the day: setting up SMTP gateways for email alerts. Multiple gateways based on location. We (Solarwinds team) don't control the setup and configuration of the mail gateways. Customer is a large government organization.
Email delivery to date has been hit-and-miss. Sometimes things some through, sometimes not. Anything behind the gateway is a black box to us :-( .
Would like to produce a report of some kind showing date/time of alerts that fired, the email actions associated with the alert, including the SMTP gateway used. From there we can extrapolate what comes through and what does not.
I welcome any input from the community on how we can detail the information described above.
