Request for explanations about 90/95/99 report

Hi Team,

I hope you all are doing well!

I have a question regarding two reports: "90/95/99th Percentile Traffic Rate - Last 7 Days" and "95th Percentile Traffic - Last 7 Days." Could you please explain the importance and differences between these two reports?

• Can I use the above reports for capacity planning? If so, which report is more useful?

• What insights can I gain from the reports showing above, particularly the 90/95/99th percentile rate report?

• Can we determine the actual utilization of the ILL and MPLS links using the reports above?

These reports were especially useful for folks that had what is/was known as "burstable billing" where they'd get charge more if the time they were over the 95th percentile was too long.  Here is a decent article on it.

Not super useful for capacity planning?     Reports like Min/Avg/Max might be more useful?
