Hi there,

Having a bit of bother with my network atlas - has anyone had the parent as unknown but the children as known? if so how did you solve this?

This sounds like the same issue we were (and continue) to face.

The solution for us was to delete the mapcache files - see this KB article: https://solarwindscore.my.site.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Edit-Newly-added-nodes-to-Network-Atlas-Maps-show-as-Unknown-after-upgrade?language=en_US#:~:text=Navigate%20to%20this%20location%20on,Delete%20these%20files.

Sadly, every time you add to a map, or create a new one you need to delete the mapcahe files again.

As with my response to the thread that vinay.by linked, I encourage you to start migrating your maps to what are now called intelligent maps. However, if you are thinking of upgrading to 2024.2 and use the function that allows maps to be selected via a ${variable} then you will want to hang-tight until 2024.2.x or 2024.x are released as there is a recognised bug that stops that working.
