We are experiencing an issue with the alert generation in SolarWinds environment. We have recently integrated a new polling engine server into our network monitoring setup. The necessary network ports have been configured to allow communication between this new polling engine, the primary polling engine, and the database server.
The new polling engine is operational and successfully collects performance metrics such as CPU usage and response times from the monitored devices. However, it fails to generate alerts when nodes are assigned to it. For instance, even after manually simulating a device failure by shutting down an interface, no corresponding alerts were triggered or displayed in the SolarWinds web console.
Nodes that are in the primary polling engine, are not facing any issue. We are getting alerts both in web console and emails.
But nodes that we moved to new polling engine are facing issue. for those nodes, there is no new alert both in web console and emails.
