Is it normal for a web UI performance hit when database maintenance begins?

We use ThousandEyes to log into Solarwinds to check the web console every five minutes. The UI fails every day at the same time the database maintenance starts at 2:15 AM. The failures only happen at that time and recover on the next iteration of the ThousandEyes checks (i.e. 5 minutes later). We are running the web server on the main application server. Is this an expected performance hit? We are running 2023.3.1.

I believe so. That's why they set it around 2:15 AM to limit performance impact. You can try to have a dedicated Additional Web server as the Main Server/Polling Engine acts as the Webserver and a Polling Engine at the same time.

@donrobert5 is 100% correct. The maintenance is run from the main polling engine. This is why I ran an additional website and had that be the "front end" of my SolarWinds self-hosted system.
