Hey folks,
I got an HCO Advanced tier license. How many SAM components can I assign to my main polling engine? Is it 10000 or 40000? Does that number change if I get an HCO Advanced Enterprise License?
They recommend a max of 10000 SAM component monitors per polling engine.
I am not sure if that level is less for the main server though.

I was recently advised by support that MPE supports up to 10000 components and APE's support up to 40000 components.
We are still on the legacy licensing. I was under the impression that HCO allowed you to spin up APEs as needed. We have had the best performance/experience by keeping the primary server pretty lean with assigned nodes (we only have SW infastructure related items assigned to it) and then sending everything else off to the APEs.
HCO does allow you to spin up APE's as needed. I've been working on this recently and haven't had any issues with licensing.
The "Scalability Engine Guidelines" is a good source for this information, especially being these limits have changed a few times. It will show you the limits for each element type, as well as the different in limits between the main poller and the APEs.documentation.solarwinds.com/.../orion_platform_scalability_engine_guidelines.htm
