Get the latest news about SolarWinds Virtualization Manager (VMAN)
We're running vRealize Automation here and my 400+ users don't understand the purpose and dangers of snapshots. We've tried to get them to follow VMware's best practices, but they want infinite snapshots and to store them forever. As a compromise we allow the users to create up to 5 snapshots of their VM's, and they can…
Hi All, Anyone with ESX on version 6.7 facing below issues: Remote lockout issue for root account from Solarwinds? Hardware sensors not working-- this is already identified as bug from VMware but just mentioning again here as i have one more doubt. Now, we had passwords changed for most of the ESX servers in our…
Is there a way to alert when a datacenter has reached 80% capacity?
Hello, We're looking at vman as a product. I've checked out the online demo, but I can't seem to find a way to see network utilization for individual vnic's, unless the guest itself is being polled. I can only see aggregate utilization. Is this possible?

Where is this information gathered from and why would it report differently than…
Our backup solutions uses snapshots in it's backup process, with this happening nightly we have a desire to send out a daily report to see if there are any snapshots that may have been left behind. The issue has been that the report isn't accurate all the time. Additionally, i've deleted Snapshots and after hours…
We have Orion 12.1 and VMAN 7.2. When integrated with IVIM does VMAN sends any type of data to Orion that is being stored to Orion database if not then what type of data VMAN sends to Orion ?
When moving off the appliance and into the integrated version of VMAN in Orion can you move your custom dashboards from the appliance? I have one that lists all the running vm's by OS version. Each widget is a different OS version in our environment.
I am trying to include the number of hosts in each VMware cluster in my VMAN Orion reports, but cannot seem to find it in the available data. VMAN definitely knows the number of hosts per cluster, because if you hover over a cluster it will show #Hosts. What am I missing? Thanks.
Is there anyway to monitor the cpu usage of a process on a virtual desktop without making that desktop a managed node or eating up SAM licences?
