We perform monthly patching activity on the Polling engines, and install the patches(except for .NET patches)
It has been observed that after the patches are installed, and the polling engine server is rebooted, it takes a long time to come up online, and hard reboot from VM level also doesn't fix it fully.
It has been found that the service OracleMTSRecoveryService takes a long time to stop due to which RDP to that server is not possible. The service remains in "Stopping" state for more than 30-40 mins, and after that once it is in running state, after stopped, then only the Orion services enter the running state and then the server can be accessed via RDP.
*Is there any dependenct of OracleMTSRecoveryService which needs to be considered?
*Should the service be put in paused/stopped state, before initiating the reboot?
* How does this OracleMTSRecoveryService service impact the Orion services and their functioning.
