Hey, we are using multiple SolarWinds modules in one single SolarWinds environment and we would like to have the ability to let users work on SRM and VMAN settings/thresholds without giving them full admin rights to the whole SolarWinds environment. Maybe it is possible to design the Roles and Permissions part similar to…
It would be great to be able to have the full blown VMAN Polling for HyperV available over the Agent. Currently this is unavailable As the agent is installed on a HyperV Host, we should be able to pull all the information we need. I assume with the agent the limitation specified in this article Virtualization Manager…
Please, consider allowing us to add notes to virtual machines. It's already there but only for Nodes. It would be great to have it also for Virtual Machines (VMAN), as not all virtual machines are Nodes. Support ticket is already opened.
These Photon appliances that are essentially mandatory in the environment now do not report CPU, Memory, database disk utilization, and Service health into Solarwinds. These are critical pieces of VMware infrastructure and we need to be able to monitor and alert on the mentioned resources.
Please allow Solarwinds VMAN to import or include the VMware VCenter Notes attribute This is the most important and even VeeamONE https://www.veeam.com/virtualization-management-one-solution.html can do this, in the Free community edition.
Being able to show custom dashboards and reports to our customers based on what their are using would be amazing. This could be resource pool based or folder based, but currently not really able to do with the current implementation. As well, the cost reporting tool is very limited especially since you cannot even report…
So we are using Redhat virtualization and it would be great if you would add it as a hypervisor like esx and hyperv. How about linux kvm too? Good to know.
Provide a way to control which ESX host sockets can be licensed through the Orion GUI. We would like to pick and choose (much like DPA) which hosts are licensed.
We don't actually have vMAN but do use the free, teaser features of vMAN provided with NPM. Currently I have a project where I am cleaning up our Nodes and as such, am trying to add them in a different way than I have in the past. Rather than just adding vCenters, ESX servers and VMs through Add Node on the Manage Entities…
Currently recommendations utility runs regularly on the polling servers. This can cause bottlenecking of system resources. It'd be nice to schedule it to only run at specific intervals to ensure that it doesn't happen during heavy usage by other modules.
