Hello, I hope I am in the right place... (Let me know if I am not) To start this off I am VERY limited in my networking knowledge and I am growing into a position were we have a need so I am learning as I go.... That being said... We have a number of old devices that are showing up as Rogue Devices on our Alerts in Solar…
This is for Interface capacity reports/summary. (See Attachment) We currently are able to see the summary output of Ports Used in Percentage, Numb of Ports Available and Numb of Ports Used. However the data shown by Solarwinds UDT Summary is not accurate since its calculating the Virtual Interface, Port-Channel and other…
I know how to find speed/duplex once I put in an IP address of the host I looking for, but to save me from having to look through 800+ hosts to record the speed/duplex of the port (our locations are spread over 5-100+ acres), I was hoping to find this data in a field I can pump out a report of. Even better, I'd like to…
Hello, I cant for the life of me get UDT working. I have run the UDT compatibility tool and everything looks good so far. But i never see any endpoints, no mac-addresses, no IP-addresses, nothing. And when I go directly to an endpoint it looks like this: Its just like it skips the access/distribution layer and only shows…
We're evaluating UDT for tracking the movement of IP phones on our network. I'm playing in my office with a couple switchports and Raspberry Pi's to simulate this. It seems to be very inconsistent in whether it works or not, and tends to be usually NOT working. Trying to figure out what’s going on, there seems to be some…
Hi good day, Can somebody help me with Solarwinds-Orion-UDT-3.2.4 I want to make in ReportWriter or ReportWeb a report per team of ports in use and free ports. Anyone who can guide me with what variables to use? First of all, Thanks. Kind regards
We have an issue where if a particular switch goes offline (usually due to an ISP at a remote site, from a power outage, or sometimes even with the switch rebooting) the UDT system automatically marks those ports on that device as unmonitored. When the device is polling again UDT doesn't automatically restore those ports…
I need someone to explain how UDT and Rogue Endpoint detection should work. It seems miserably flawed to me and support is giving me the run around saying it's doing what it should be doing. If that is the case the product is severely crippled for our intended use case. Our plan was to use UDT to monitor rogue endpoints…
The UDT GUI has a view or two that seems to allow a person to select all monitored nodes, or all monitored ports, and unmonitor them. When I attempt that (57,000 ports) I get an error: The output of the error follow at the bottom of this discussion. I suspect there's a SWQL query that can be executed to accomplish this…
It seems that after changing switch devices from SNMPV2 to SNMPv3 UDT no longer show port information. NPM info all looks good interface , hardware monitoring etc.... all good
