We upgraded from NPM 12.0 to 12.3, and using the all-in-one installer, installed UDT new as well. We have to rediscover our Network nodes using Network Discovery to find the ports, before we can have the UDT module scan and find them. When i rediscover a node, it allows me to specify Ports. Please enable a feature where we…
I have a number of user devices that are incompatible with various standard switchport configurations (e.g.: Zebra bar code label printers are incompatible with Cisco voice vlan settings), and I use UDT to track down these devices' switches and switchports when troubleshooting their issues. Knowing that the problem lines…
I'm a brand new UDT user, and I've got FAR to go in learning how to make it do what we want. Maybe some of my ideas below are already available, and I simply don't know how to make them happen. Please send me your solutions, if any of these wish-list items are already achievable with no further modifying of NPM & UDT! 1.…
Some devices (Juniper in my case) only support configuration from the commandline, or NETCONF, and not SNMP I'd like port disable to work on junipers, so the only NETCONF support I'm really looking for here is the ability to admin-down or admin-up a port
Hi, Can you please update the table showing interfaces, status, host name, IP etc to also include the port description? Currently if you hover over the port it does show in the box but it would be great to be able to view this without having to hover over each port.
When adding a rogue device to a UDT white list it would be nice if this could be added to an existing list rather than creating separate rules for each device. Thanks, Tony
This is related to my post in the UDT forums - UDT not working on Nexus FEX units Currently Cisco Nexus FEX layer 2 access ports are not populating the vmMembershipSummaryTable because the port ifindex is above the limit of 2048. Because the vmMembershipSummaryTable is not populated, UDT does not know which vlans to grab…
In my environment our AD servers don't locally log the correct event IDs for UDT to work correctly but they do forward those logs to Splunk. It would be nice if those logs could be read from Splunk instead of only from AD.
I like to introduce a feature request to have a more detailed view of UDT Port Details with customize colums, maybe a new Resource, because the actual only present limited amount of data. Great would be, to add or remove columns of Port information, like * Port Description, * Speed * Current Status * Duplex * Configured…
I opened this case with Support: 1353907 - HOW CAN I GENERATE A UDT REPORT FOR MULTIPLE IP SOURCE ADDRESSES? Solarwinds Support kindly told me there's currently no way to do what I asked: I'd like to discover everything UDT knows about a list of 1000 IP addresses (or FQDN's, or MAC addresses) and present it in a pretty…
