The problem we have is when a maintenance is performed on a disk or server interface, the disk is shown in red and the unknown interface, so it is necessary to scan the server components again to add the modified drives and delete previous alarmed components
Configuration wizard log file should provide more meaningful status of what's the current task and the status. Log as follow is not very meaningful for us who are waiting for the configuration wizard to complete: 2020-03-06 14:07:16,947 [4] DEBUG SqlHelper - SQL: SELECT CAST((CASE WHEN SERVERPROPERTY('edition') = 'SQL…
In order to view more details in the node details page, add a plus button to the left pane to expand, collapse the view. This will allow you to see the area you want to modify without having to scroll down the page. Also helps when you scroll up, if you collapse the properties (see image of custom properties and category).
SolarWinds Orion does not support secure connections to Active Directory via MSAPI using SSL/TLS. Our computer security department is going to make this mandatory. According to SolarWinds Support, "LDAP over SSL is not yet supported. Feature Request was submitted to the Dev Team about LDAPS, but no official word when it…
The node details block is desperately in need of manual editing. We shouldn't need to edit a cisco config to add location data when simply adding it to the node detail page suffices. Same for any other field in there. While I'm aware that you can configure SNMP (if available) to pull this information from a device and/or…
On Manage Nodes screen display SNMP version under Polling Method. Currently the column displays, ICMP, WMI, Agent, or SNMP but does not state the version 1, 2, 3. Please include this in the column. I do have a SWSQL workaround but it would be easier if it was displayed under Manage Nodes. SELECT TOP 1000 IPAddress,…
@It would be great too is we can see the links between the devices seen in the worldwide map.
Dear SolarWinds, Often I am missing one of the key feature for active alert - ability to change severity ad-hoc. Let's say we have critical alert for "Node is down", however not all devices are critical. It would be great to decrease the severity of such alert for one particular device. Additionally, it would be very…
Is there anyway we could allow NetPath to work from any select device A to device B instead of always from the poller to device B? It would be nice to use it more dynamically.
The current NPM/Orion version still does not have a field for Admin Status for Routing Neighbor, which can be extremely useful for alerting (reducing alert noise; there is no differentiation possible between peers that are set to 'Admin Down' and those who are not). The value for this is stored here: Specific Object…
