Parameters being monitored in NCM and SAM

Hi Team

We are in the process of Integrating Solarwinds with a third party tool. The tools is supposed to receive the SNMP traps and process the information.

Is there a way we could pull the list of parameters that are been monitored ( NCM and SAM ) . ( Either through report or DB Query ).

Is there a way we can pull the list of thresholds and the actions associated to it ( I know we can navigate through the Action manager but we have to take screenshots only and not reports.

The reason your post hasn't had any response is it is actually a pretty complex task.

The list of parameters sounds like an easy thing, but it is actually very complicated. Orion is gathering potentially hundreds of parameters from every device Trying to report on it all basically becomes an entire database within itself. Look in the SQL database and check the Nodes view, almost every column there is a polled parameter, then do the same for Interfaces, Volumes, APM_Applications and APM_Components (plus each of these tables has several related tables with more details about the settings related to the apps and components). At this point there are still at least a dozen other tables worth of parameters.

Parsing the alert configurations is a beast, its all XML and when you try to read it the layers of conditions and such get all jumbled together, this is the XML for a pretty basic Node status is down type alert trigger.

This report (run in SWQL Studio) does give the list of all the alert configurations and their actions and those actions parameters, but parsing the XML is the biggest pain and when i use with clients I tend to filter it quite a bit based on my preferences.

Added to it can we have a query/report to pull the list of Thresholds along with severity being configured against Component monitors or the application monitor templates.
