Well I did get some info abt thus on other post where its written abt
nagios and solarwinds...
I was mainly looking for the severity info to be passed as part of the
trap..but got to know that it cannot be sent via trap..
Options are to either edit the default trap template or install engineer
toolset..
What kind of information u looking for?

I have the Engineers tool set and did open the forwardsyslog.trap file... I observe the OID's
After that, I don't know what direction to go in.
I need to set the file up to sent traps to a Zenoss server , I am not finding a whole bunch of information what to edit in the file.
Any tips ?
You need not modify anything at first..just configure the trap action for
the alert that you want to propagate to zenoss. See how it comes in zenoss.
But yes import the default MIB file to zenoss first.
If you find that default variables getting sent in trap are not enough then
go for using engineer toolset..m not familiar with this module so the guide
will help you..it's straight forward acc to what I have read.

Standard MIB files u will get it on thwack..incase u r not able to locate
on the Orion server
