Support for Google Cloud

Enhance your cloud monitoring with SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In our 2025.1 release, we introduced support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), starting with Google Compute Engine monitoring for comprehensive visibility into your GCE environments. With support for GCP, you now get:

  • An overview of the GCE compute instances in your environment
  • Real-time monitoring of these compute instances
  • Resource utilization widgets
  • Network performance metrics

We’re excited to continue building on our existing visibility into network, storage, compute, and database entities in cloud providers like Azure and AWS with the addition of GCP. Hybrid environments are the reality for many of you and we’re excited to meet you where you are.

NOC Views with Dark Mode

OK THWACKsters, how long have you been asking for this? DARK MODE is here! Available now in SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted. Oh, and NOC views. Take any modern dashboard, toggle it to NOC View, and flip on Dark Mode. LIGHTS OUT. 

These views are specifically designed for use on large monitors or projectors and provide a clean and streamlined interface. Additionally, we’ve introduced Dark Mode for these NOC views, providing a more comfortable viewing experience. Want Dark Mode all the time and don’t want to wait? SolarWinds Observability SaaS has a complete dark mode option.

We’re excited about the upcoming availability of a new AWS data center for SolarWinds Observability SaaS in Sydney, Australia. SolarWinds AI Root Cause Assist

Augment your monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities with SolarWinds AI Root Cause Assist, which is available in SolarWinds Observability SaaS.

Root Cause Assist, powered by machine learning, comprehensively collects and analyzes an array of relevant events such as metrics, alerts, anomalies, and change events to unveil causal relationships using the 'five whys' approach. With the capability of supporting groups of up to 50 entities, it provides access to detailed reports through the Entity Group or Entity Explorer, thereby facilitating real-time troubleshooting and the sustained efficacy of your systems.

Database Observability

Enhance your database monitoring and performance insights with SolarWinds Database Observability. This comprehensive solution provides real-time analytics, advanced query optimization, and detailed reporting to ensure the highest levels of database efficiency and reliability.

SolarWinds AI Query Assist

Entering tech preview* in Q2 2025 across all Database Observability offerings, both SaaS and Self-Hosted, SolarWinds AI Query Assist to optimize database performance.

This generative AI model analyzes your SQL query statements and suggests rewrites to existing queries with the aim of improving performance and making database queries more efficient against the database. SolarWinds AI also explains each optimization change, ensuring confidence in the suggested changes and helping you learn along the way.

* This feature is available in Tech Preview to all database observability customers. Tech preview features are not committed and, until generally available, may be removed from the product in future releases

 

SolarWinds Service Desk

SolarWinds Service Desk is a comprehensive Enterprise Service Management solution designed to streamline service operations. It leverages automation and AI to enhance incident resolution and improve user experience, helping IT teams (and beyond) efficiently manage incidents, service requests, and changes. 

SolarWinds AI Auto-Generated Runbooks

This feature automates the time-consuming task of turning existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) into structured, step-by-step runbooks within Service Desk.

By simply entering free text or uploading a PDF or Word document, you can generate a draft runbook that’s ready to be edited, published, and added to tickets as a standardized resolution process for agents and teams.
