Announcing SolarWinds Observability – Self-Hosted and SaaS

We are excited to share some great news with our THWACK community. Today, we are announcing the latest evolution of our observability solution. We have introduced new capabilities and expanded existing ones, bringing our network and infrastructure monitoring expertise to our SaaS observability offering as well as greatly enhancing cloud monitoring capabilities across our SaaS and self-hosted options.

More big news: we’ve combined our SaaS and self-hosted solution under a single banner. Now, you can purchase and deploy SolarWinds® Observability as self-hosted software (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability, now SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted) or as a cloud-native SaaS solution (SolarWinds Observability SaaS). The new naming reflects the enhanced capabilities and added flexibility of both offerings.

The THWACK® community continues to be a primary resource for our product teams. The feedback we receive from thousands of our community members is invaluable and results in products like SolarWinds Observability, designed to solve the problems you face in today’s complex hybrid technology stacks.

Hybrid IT is here to stay.

The modern technology stack is moving to the cloud for many reasons, including efficiency, cost, and user experience.  At the same time, it’s a rare business that can become 100% cloud-native and leave its legacy on-prem architecture behind. Gaining enough visibility to effectively manage this distributed hybrid technology environment presents a significant challenge. Most monitoring and observability solutions in the market focus on either on-prem or cloud. This forces IT departments to prioritize one side or the other regarding what is being monitored and how the solution is deployed. If your organization cannot close this hybrid observability gap, the performance of your technology stack will suffer, with longer times to resolve issues, more outages, missed SLAs, and unhappy customers impacting your bottom line.

Our self-hosted and SaaS options have now evolved to solve common problems and address standard use cases. We’ve bridged the observability gap with SolarWinds Observability, addressing the needs of modern organizations to gain precise visibility into hybrid IT ecosystems, including on-premises, cloud infrastructures, databases, applications, and end-user experience. All this while providing the utmost flexibility in how teams deploy our solution.

Leveraging 25 years of monitoring and observability technologies and experience

We offer network and infrastructure monitoring capabilities delivered as a service, significantly expanding our reach and impact. We’ve also expanded our self-hosted option’s cloud monitoring and observability capabilities. These new and expanded capabilities ensure SolarWinds is uniquely positioned to meet our customers' hybrid IT observability needs, providing insight into their entire technology stack while giving them a runway to a more modern, cloud-based ecosystem.
