Hi Jasmin, I feel your pain, but without using a separate tool (such as the Selenium WebDriver) the answer is no. We've been asking for something like this for years, but it has never come to fruition. Looking through the feature requests, there's been little activity since before 2009. If you were to open a new feature…

A couple of thoughts, firstly check the Syslog ports you are using (at both ends) and if they match then get Wireshark installed onto your Kiwi server (or another packet analysis tool) and see if the packets are making it through.

Hi Prashant, It most certainly is, have a look at https://github.com/solarwinds/OrionSDK/wiki/IPAM-Observability-2022.2 for the details. 😁

HP bought Compaq back in 2002, and kept the name alive until in their product portfolio util 2013. In 2015 HP split into HP Inc and HPE. The device is responding with the CPQSM2-MIB MIB OID on discovery so it be labelled as a Compaq device. I am not aware of an easy way to fix this, maybe BIOS/firmware updates on the…

Why not use a bit of SQL? This SQL example details all users who were logged in currently. SELECT [AccountID] FROM [SolarWinds].[dbo].[Accounts] WHERE [LastLogin] >= GETUTCDATE()

You can do this now and easily, with a Node custom property. If you were to assign the group name as a custom property such as Group_Name, then define the group with a dynamic rule where the custom property group_name = <group name>. Then when you go to to your manage Nodes view (Under Settings), you will be able to filter…

UK based, but this buy-a-thon has wandered across the globe, paydays before Christmas and all that still counts here. Luckily, my bit of the company operates almost as a MSP, so we have 10Gbps internet pipes a plenty.

I have implemented something very similar using volume custom properties, v_warnthreshold, v_warnthresholdGB, v_critthreshold, v_critthresholdGB. I then recreated the disk alerts, using SQL to accept the threshold that is populated and alert upon it. This allows us to alert when there is x GB left rather than relying on…

Bump! If Orion could fully understand the element usage and then tie that back per node, it would have made my last costings exercise, so, so ,so much easier! I ended up deep in SQL and spreadsheets, to come up with an element per customer group type report.

There is actually quite a bit of tips and guides available via the context sensitive help, it's just a shame this information isn't also available in the manual. For example, the pop-up pages (the blue "i" for information buttons) on the Setup tab: It would be handy if this (these) could be placed back into the manual,…

You can create a report to do this: Acknowledged+Alerts.xml It uses SWQL to query the AlertStatus table, which contains the detail you're after.

Personally, I found the Ticket Custom fields the issue, on Page 59 of the Admin Guide: Inserting Custom Fields into Ticket; then one line "Use this page to define and insert custom fields into tickets". Flipping genius I finally found that the single choice fields needed semi-colon delimiters, but it took 1/2 hour of RTFM…

Q.8 Is as clear as mud Who mentioned agents, anywhere in that text?

Sounds like a really good idea, rather like , but with colours. Fingers crossed, we may even see it sometime soon.

We operate a large Infrastructure as a Service offering here and the platforms team are very much looking forward to moving onto their new vCloud Director platform. However, without any monitoring support, the SolarWinds team aren't! Is there any news on this, or anything in the pipeline even? ---Orion orbiting the black…

So why not create one? Go to <your server name her>/Orion/Admin/CPE/Default.aspx and create away. You can also access this page from Settings --> Managed Custom Properties. Have a look at these KB: Custom properties - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support , it should help get you started.

All green - but it would be greedy to expect to win again

Can't you use the one of the universal gauges? Assign an UDP to collect the temperature via SNMP and then use one of the various gauges to display it.

Umm, pretty sure i got that question correct, but i got a red cross.

Friday bump!

An old'ish thread, but... We're having issues and of course the two Nexus 5Ks are configured for Level 2 switching, so no visibility of the traffic from NTA.
