Have you had a look at the Orion SDK? GitHub - solarwinds/OrionSDK: SDK for the SolarWinds Orion platform, including tools, documentation, and samples in Powe… It provides a method of suppressing and resuming alerts: EntityName: Orion.AlertSuppression Verbs: SuppressAlertsResumeAlertsGetAlertSuppressionState I know that it…

Nov 19 just told me that I incorrectly selected two options that I certainly did not select. Could someone have a check please, I don't think it's right.

I am guessing we'd either need the source code or someone to build this with Raspberry Pi ARM architecture in mind. So guys, any chance of getting our hands on the source? I'd be more than happy at having a crack at compiling it for various Raspberry Pi distros and sharing the binaries back on Thwack.

I have to mention that the "Unmanage Scheduling Utility" isn't good with HA either, as it need to be repeated on each HA pair. It would be nice to lose another legacy local application and get it into the web console (and HA aware please!)

Orion Agent for ARM Linux - Raspberry Pi NPM 12.2 Beta contains an ARM based agent installation! Just installing it now, to have a play with it, though all my Raspberry Pis are at home.

@toy4two Ubuntu is already covered, however Mint isn't, but as it is a variation of Ubuntu, you may be able get away with an install. The current version has the following agent install flavours available:

Another example of Orion missing basic logic. We need the entire system to understand AND/OR and IF/WHEN/THEN/ELSE logic, for alerts, reporting and as you pointed out discovery.

It's the human factor that scuppers us most often, which actually stems from the lack of automation and the lack of a decent CMDB.

To quickly lower the case of all nodes, you could use SQL: UPDATE Nodes SET Caption = LOWER(Caption) I am sure there is an eloquent SQL way to handle the FQDNs, though if you are dealing with multiple domains, this will add complexities. I will have a play, see if I can get it working. Personally, I created a node Custom…

aLTeReGo, I know sir that you are The Man, that your knowledge and wisdom is pretty well all knowing, universally recognised and endless, around here. But, sir, I must protest! I struggle with the idea, that this can't be achieved. The upgrade process will be much harder, and would probably require different upgrade…

Just a time period exception, for that one server. I now have 26 seperate CPU threshold alerts, and that's after I worked out how to use a custom property for email destiniations (we have 40+ customers that require those emails) . Yes it would make sense to go back and entirely rewrite the alert(s), as some of what I want…

There is still one other point of the solution that needs attention, the database. All of the additional web servers and pollers, although spreading the Orion load, increase the database's workload.

My first PC (to date this slightly it was a 25MHz CPU with 16MB of RAM) and I was having some hard drive issues. And at the time, I was at the time working as a bar steward (I love that job title) at an airclub. My father had guided me into computers with a BBC Micro or two, before PCs took off. I went first to him for…

Again today, I duplicated another alert, excluded a sinlge server from the original and then adjusted the copy to fire for that one server. If only we had some decent alert logic to play with, i could have one alert for all, rather than single alerts for each.... #bumpsqaud
