UDT is just about completely useless without working with Merakis. We are migrating to having Merakis as the edge devices at all remote sites, and as such, they hold ALL the L3 information.
-
Agreed. The need for this would seem overwhelming.

What I'd like to see is the ability to run scripts on Solaris 11 boxes. Currently, Orion's admittedly outdated SSH client cannot handshake with the newer OS, so script monitoring is non-existent. How about updating the underlying technology?
-
What is up with the super low density cabling? I'd like to see the other side of that because it looks like half density patch panels from the back.
-
I just run Opera as my primary browser and never worry about this stuff.

When will Cisco ACI integration be added?
-
I'd like to vote this up 20 times. I was just going to put in this suggestion myself.
-
And there's the solution. Didn't think of that. Thanks.

Overwhelming response I see. I have new PX3-1902R's, and the data they provide is awful. I have previously been able to get some information out of some other Raritan PDUs like a list of outlet names and power used per outlet, but my new PDUs don't track that. I find Raritan's uniquely difficult to monitor.

Maybe i need to upgrade my switches code to batter handle the requests.

Bingo. So it's trying to pull VLAN information about VLANs no one has used in 20 years, like: VLAN Type ---- ----- 1002 fddi 1003 trcrf 1004 fdnet 1005 trbrf FDDI? Token ring? Just wasting cycles, but they won't stop.
-
We had a problem with this too. Turns out that the creds stored for UDT are stored differently than normal ones, so they were hard to find.

UDP? No. User and Device Tracker.

It deleted the NIC from the Windows Server. I think my admin may have figured out why: "I can see at 10:19:06PM a SolarWinds install started. Immediately after, an error is logged "An installation for VMTools is currently suspended. You must undo the changes made by that installation to continue. Do you want to undo those…

Interesting. So when I look at the interfaces in the Node dashboard, all the interfaces look fine. It's only at the Nodes with Problems widget where there is a display issue. The issue occurs in IE, Edge, Chrome, and Opera after clearing the cache. When I inspect the code for the webpage, when in the Nodes with Problems…

I just asked and they said it would be okay, AS LONG AS YOU RUN A BACKUP FIRST: 1. Open Database Manager (Program Files > Solarwinds Orion > Advanced Features) 2. Click Add Default Server 3. Expand the Database > Right click on the Database > Select Query table 4. Copy and paste the given sql query then click on execute…

HF5 did not work either. Support was able to give me a special script to run that has now solved the issue.
-
Did not help me. In the process of installing HF5 now.

So should I open a ticket as well?
-
Alas, not for me. Before upgrading to 6.0.1, I got no connection at all. Now with 6.0.1, I am getting this error. I'll just open my own ticket.
-
I couldn't access that link but did open a ticket. Two weeks and they still don't have it fixed. I will update this thread when an actually solution is presented.
-
Here's what I got from support: I got an update for this case from DEV, can you kindly run the the script below against the OrionDB: 1. Open Database Manager (Program Files > Solarwinds Orion > Advanced Features) 2. Click Add Default Server 3. Expand the Database > Right click on the Database > Select Query table 4. Copy…

Yes, That would be accurate.

Ally, I have the same error with the [A strings. What was the support resolution?
-
It is.

Yes, that template is a LOT easier to work with. And I'd never noticed the "MultiEdit before! So what you are saying is that I should make a copy of the original template and then MultiEdit the instance name. That would be reasonably efficient, but I have to wonder if there isn't a cleaner way to do this in the future.…

They finally got my Cortex process to stop eating all the server memory just yesterday!
