We have a program that tracks inventory and patches of workstations, and can schedule automatic patches through it.

I got a invalid parameter message when I tried to follow the register link after correctly answering today's question. Where does the register link go?

SysAdmin responsibilities will change, at least it has for the department I'm in. Positions have been getting shuffled around and new accesses have been given to the people onsite since most of our SysAdmins are now completely remote and can't do some of the things they'd normally do themselves before.

Does it work if you try to convert them under the Manage Agent Settings? If the agent is showing up there, then select "Manage as a Node" it should update it to agent method.

My experience is if you have automatic scanning on, the hostname field will be filled by DNS if the system is up. Update: I learned from Isilon support that there is a bug on OneFS 8.X where it returns the wrong sysObjectID when queried by SNMPwalk. We got that fixed by changing the config line sysObjectId = 1.3.6.1.4.1.12124.1 instead of the original 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1.2.1.1. Doing so now reports it correctly in Solarwinds as…
