I'm receiving this error as well when creating a custom field and enter text into the Options section.

I'm in a similar situation. My Operations manager is no longer with the company, I'm assuming Administrator duties over Solarwinds Helpdesk, and I don't know how to remove him as the default Administrator. Can we confirm this is something that can't be done?
