@thangaselvi - have you consulted SolarWinds vendor? I agree with my fellow thwackers with their response. But do you know the difference between marketplace image vs BYOL (Bring your own license)? Talk to the vendor check if it does provide a significant difference in costing and then decide. I could be wrong but there…

:) I use to run a massive SolarWinds Ob self-hosted environment on Azure, but my SolarWinds db were Azure SQL PaaS databases. I do understand you are hesitant I was at first to, but we moved out of a DC and hosted everything on Azure. It worked like a charm.
-
it definetly is strange, data is there and SolarWinds alerts wont act on it. The new alert that you created can you restrict it to only the devices and volumes which has an issue, maybe that can explain more.
-
Only following set of objects : Show lists (do you see your drives here ?) Set it only to the device in question or disk in question. And maybe change trigger condition, try using % available rather than bytes - only for testing. Maybe this is why its acting different for SNMP based vs Agent.
-
Makes sense, but to the best of my knowledge I don't think its possible through the standard alerts. A SWQL alert maybe (might be possible - but I have never tried that).
-
Hi @sandipc I am not sure what you are looking for here, based on the questions you have mentioned. Both the options that you have mentioned are feasible. If your question on Azure is more to do with SolarWinds performance, in case you are moving everything onto cloud, just look through the hardware requirements and build…
-
Hi @arielook No, that is not possible, you cant combine Reset condition with respect to time and/or an additional condition. Rather like what @naveensingh43 has mentioned use the other option (this seems like a right way, this needs to be configured in your Trigger Action): In your "Trigger Action" use Escalation Level,…
-
@SolarWindNoob can you share your alert configuration here.
-
Hi @JuliusSola To the best of my knowledge, No (it cannot be done)— API Pollers created via “Manage API Pollers” cannot currently be displayed directly on a View or Dashboard as widgets. They are not exposed as viewable resources in SolarWinds UI.
-
@clausendb - Which version of SolarWinds are you running on? Check your trigger conditions on the existing alert - if its applied to all objects. If it is then ignore this statement. Can you test one more thing - Can you create a new alert with same conditions and check if that works as expected for both agent based and…

Hi @visslik - seems right to me on the latest versions, I am not sure on which version of SolarWinds it existed on Node Summary Page but then now you will only find this (Percentage Utilization Radial Gauge) on Interface Details Page, and this isn't available anymore on Node Summary Page.
-
Hi @John.Summers - is this already in your radar ?
-
@thwackahsanpk - this was a nice feature :), but I am not sure in which version of thwack was this working, was it working in the previous version before the upgrade? I could be wrong but I don't think this existed in the previous version as well. It was a cool feature though :)

Thanks for the highlights.

Good to know, thanks.

This is what I found for 3041 event id in case you are using SSMS for backup: Summary This is not a SolarWinds problem It’s a SQL Server backup job misconfiguration Caused by trying to BACKUP LOG on the model database Fix by changing backup scope to “All User Databases” SolarWinds is only reporting it If a SQL backup job…
-
Hi @itengineer How is your DB being backed up? What are you using for backup. I am not an expert on this, but I just searched for the event id 3041, looks like your backup mechanism is trying to take a backup model database. Ideally SolarWinds states this would not affect the application. There are a few steps to fix this…
-
@LeBeauUK You are absolutely right; you can't export more than 250K from the UI. To the best of my knowledge "NO" this is not something that can be configured and I don't believe it's there anywhere (be it on DB/Settings/Global settings). The only 3 alternatives to this would be: Creating a report to pull Log messages -…

Hi @mahranrb_ So you mean to say its not working on SolarWinds web console when you try to manually add it? Did you open SNMP Walk and test it from your SolarWinds poller ? How did you check SNMP V3 creds are fine ? What auth and encryption are you using for this ?

@secure - Have you checked SolarWinds best practises, and have you reviewed your architecture? Can you give please provide more context to this question? When did this issue start, what version are you running on, how many Traps/Syslogs are you seeing in your environment for last 1 hour - just the count would suffice.
-
@ChrystalT - will look forward to SolarWinds Day.

You can always use a trial version that will last for 30 days, if you want to play around with it IT Service Desk Software | SolarWinds

@herweijerm - May be @John.Summers can help you with this or he would be able to report this on your behalf. Hope this helps.
-
Hi @KOHLIfied I am not sure on which version of SolarWinds you are on, but in the past traps were separate from OLV. OLV was only used for syslogs. After version 2022.X I think we have LV and LA. LV always comes with NPM/SolarWinds and you never needed a license for it. LA was used for a different purpose altogether but…

Hi @herweijerm You did mention upgrade - from which version to which version did you upgrade to?

Thank you @NVSteven

@jduehmig You should raise this as a feature request as this functionality doesn't exist as of now. The SolarWinds Platform Feature Requests - THWACK

To me it seems like an issue on MIA tool. Try using postman or alternatives to check if the URL + parameters being sent is being accepted by MIA, if not check with MIA support to provide valid details along with what Payload it can consume and modify your calls accordingly. I dont think this has anything to do with…
