We applied a patch in attempts to fix our ongoing issues with Patch Mgr and it crashed our entire Orion platform, 00210951. We had to restore the database from backup. I really love this single-pane-of-glass approach but Patch Mgr is really trying to break me.

I figured it out. Repeat Step 6. Here's what you do: Undo Step 6. Then redo Step 6. You'll get credit. (Please mark this as 'Helpful' so I get credit)
-
Did you ever get yours resolved?
-
DanielleH are you able to help? Much like immanuvelc I am stuck on step 6 and can't figure out why.
-
I am having the same problem I just went through all the steps even though its obvious that I've done them all...

Stupid Question: Asking for a friend. How can you tell if Syslog and Trap Messages are Slowing Down my Monitoring Solution? Thanks! I'll hang up and listen to your answer.

Whatever became of the IPAM RC that I was a part of? I never heard any follow-up...

Nice... thanks for this.

Here are two views (hopefully they are formatted properly):

It's the Solarwinds equivalent of the "Door Close" button in the elevator, or the "Press to Walk" button at intersections. :-)

I have found that disk drive monitoring use SAM w/ WMI and Dell's OME is not very reliable. But if you switch to SNMP it seems to work. Here is an Idea that I found when searching for previous Dell WMI/Hardware Health entries. And there are many threads to this:

Great pictures guys...

DONE! Filename is: SolarwindsDiagnostics 20171025 Main VA02-SW-P01.zip Let me know if you have any problems.

Umm... Wow!!!
-
Are you running into an issue that is preventng you from adding it? Is SNMP enabled on the device? Do you have enough licensing for NPM? Is there a firewall between the poller and the node?
-
Can I ask duplicate IP's on what type of machines? If they are Windows servers you can use SAM to monitor Event Viewer. Linux servers you can use NPM to monitor Syslog.

This is the text version of getting a phone call from the Windows Technical Support saying that they received a report that you have a virus. Thanks cincinnatiman. Keep up the great work! And I will follow you on tweeter!

Many times, and it is indeed frustrating and demoralizing. Monitoring can fall easy prey to be labeled the scapegoat for the real issue at hand. And while the passionate, demonstrative, inspired defense might work on the big screen it can often only compound the issues. In my many years of monitoring I have learned to…

Cloud-based certifications and, as always, security! So when you say, "Which certifications would you be excited to potentially win..." you mean training for those certifications, correct?

Sent you an email. I am going to need a repository to send you the file.

How did this call out slip past me for so long? I'll be working on this and get something back to you next week if that is okay? For the record, I am interested in logging for VM administrative actions such as: Guest creation/deletion, stop/start, and others (I will need to dig up notes to get more specifics). Is that what…

As a junior security expert my thoughts are that they prepared the content of the JAR in anticipation of it reaching an audience that extends past the cyber-security realm. They knew it was going to reach c-level, executives, and business leaders. So they wanted to reinforce the basics of what every sound security…

I have to say in my years of experience I am not a fan of agent-based monitoring. I use Solarwinds today for NPM/SAM/etc. and I use SAP's Solution Manager for my SAP servers/applications. SolMan is agent-based. The administration and overhead for my SolMan agents is exponentially higher. Granted, I get tons more data back,…
