That's odd as on my 2024.1 installation, nested maps works as intended. If I left click on the nested map a new tab opens up with the map. If I just hover on the object, I get the box with the commands as an option. What NPM version are you on? I just use this option when adding in a map on a map.

As mentioned, VLAN doesn't have anything to do with it. You discover via subnet or ip range. These are the options.
-
The native vlan is not required for connect now to work. You say changes were made to the links, what changes were made? I assume you can see the core from these 3 switches as a CDP neighbour?
-
You really need to see what problem tickets you get and then work out which Solarwinds modules or othe software would help in resolving them. But NCM is one I would recommend. It will backup all your network devices and send you emails when someone makes any changes
-
I would set all of them to 100Gbps as they can all use that as a maximum if the others are unused.
-
Have you tried to install it on another server?
-
Yes all you need to do is make sure you are monitoring the interface and then create an alert. I do alerting on certain links when they are over 70% receive for a continuous 5 mins. You can also create an extra alert that alerts on high transmit utilisation.
-
You could rename the displayed name. Just tick the box and go Edit Properties. There you can change the display name to whatever you want. But there is no way for them to come up different than what shows up during discovery phase. But once discovered, you can change the names.

I would say you'd need to use a custom poller. Work out which oid has the info you're looking for and then create a poller for it.
-
I agree with stuartd, I'm not a fan of Orion Maps so far. I also noticed that when a link goes down in Orion maps, it just disappears rather than turning red. And when the link does turn red, it's just running high traffic rather than being down.

Does your server have internet access? Does it pass the proxy test?
-
Are you sending to an address for an email group? If so, maybe the email group has restrictions on who can email to it. You shouldn't have to run config wizard to fix your issue. You have to understand what changes were made and configure Solarwinds accordingly.
-
Try adding the chat ID in your Body to POST e.g. chat_id=-1111111111&parse_mode=html&disable_notification&text=alert_name

Yes you would need to write custom pollers for the info you wish to monitor. Run a snmpwalk over the ilo so you can see what oids are available. Everything you see in the GUI will be monitorable but you need to write custom poller for them.
-
Do a snmpwalk over the device and that will show you what MIBs are available on the device. Hopefully in there you'll see one that has the info you're looking for. You don't need to have Tripp-Lite mibs installed. But if you did, it would mean you can go through the MIB tree in solarwinds to find what you want. But all you…

I used to use Telegram for our alerts and have now changed to Slack. I just call an API in my alert. Please show me how you have it currently configured.
-
No there isn't.
-
No, NCM is for network devices only. You could use this www.solarwinds.com/patch-manager
-
Do a snmpwalk over the device and go through the results to see if you can see any useful OIDs you could monitor.
-
That's correct. UDT will work on all ports even if they are not specifically monitored in NPM.
-
You can monitor anything that the Cradlepoints SNMP supports. Do a smpwalk on it so you can see what's available. And then download the MIB file to see what each OID is. customer.cradlepoint.com/.../Where-can-I-find-the-MIBs-for-Cradlepoint

On the Cisco's, these disappear by themselves but for Aruba try deleting the decom'd AP from the Aruba database. Hopefully then it will also disappear from Solarwinds. community.arubanetworks.com/.../viewdocument
-
Try adding that device into your NPM.

I'd never heard of breakfast tacos until I came to SolarWinds. I must say they were good! But unfortunately, I've not had them since. One thing I had been looking forward to was cherry cola but that wasn't for me. And I loved the huge bag of dark chocolate M&M's from Walmart. We don't get them here let alone in a giant…

I don't know how to tell when I joined Thwack or even when my first post was but it was probably around 2011. Then in Dec 2012 I was invited to join the MVP team which I gladly accepted. Since then this has been my go to place to help out others. I don't visit any other forums by choice unless they come up in a search. The…

You will need to write a custom poller to pull this information out of the Fortinet. I've had to do the same thing for an Avara switch to get the model number.
-
Have you tried to delete and re-add the device?
-
Are you managing it in Solarwinds via SNMP? If yes, have you selected the interfaces in List Resources for the device? If yes, then please show me a screenshot of your issue.
-
Do a snmpwalk on it and then just go through the OIDs and see if anything resembles the values you are looking for.

I've attended most Thwackcamps but only just for the start due to the timezone difference but by far the most enjoyable (and the one I was there for the whole event) was attending in person in 2017. It was my first time in America and I loved it. I loved Austin and being at Solarwinds was simply awesome. The event is one I…
