I think you're forgetting another difference between then and now: Today's folks' penchant for litigation. I imagine full service isn't even a consideration to most as there's some implied liability there. What if Johnny adds too much oil? What if he says everything checks out but there's a massive coolant leak? Plus most…

I'd do some research on those. You've got to be careful with them as it turns out quite a few models will set up a P2P connection with a host server which, obviously, exposes your internal network (not to mention the risk of the server owner (or someone who compromises the server) viewing/storing your video). Apparently…

I wouldn't say guessing. All of the answers so far have related to a Solarwinds product. Seriously, we even had a monthly mission about it once before - I mean, that's how I'm getting my answers. That said, you absolutely could "guess" via process of elimination but you certainly don't have to. Either way, the answers are…

Just checked and I'm seeing the same thing.
-
Yeah, I literally did my Ctrl+f thing, answered (since what I found confirmed what I believed I knew) and submitted. Like I said, it's totally possible I missed the stuff you're talking about so I'm not arguing the point.

This is why we have Kiwi Cat. Nice but not nearly as good ... or expensive. When I presented NCM to management they were all like "that's awesome" ... and then I told them the price. I was lucky to get CatTools after that, lol.

Pretty sure the key is "asset inventory". Only pretty sure cuz I didn't look anything up (I did answer, however ... not sayin' it was a check or an X though).
-
Meh, of the three choices only two appear to be viable but one of those is actually not viable because of security concerns.
-
It is what it is, got it. That said, I'm cool. It's also non-obligatory and totally free. EDIT: And fun. Almost forgot the fun.
-
The Can Am Spider also requires a motorcycle license. The good news is that you can take the test on your Spider if you have one. I wonder if the same rule applies here. Most people who purchase these things do so as a 'fun' vehicle cuz they're just not terribly practical. My 'fun' car will get about 8mpg when it's done. I…

It certainly does: Again, you've got to use the demo to find the answers and that's the teaching moment. And, in case you missed it, I bricked this question due to haste. Upon more careful examination (as in I took 30 more seconds to look at it) I was able to see the correct answer. EDIT: Edited to remove image by, well,…

Chrome 63.0.3239.132 also works. I'm happy to see a CC option with a time-coded hint (not that it's really needed this time). Pretty sweet.
-
Just wondering if anyone else did what I did. I don't watch the videos as I do this from work and think it somewhat less of the best use of my time (when coupled with the mission as a whole). I simply took an educated guess. There have been some trends in the answers lately that I think can be helpful. There's also context…

I'm 100% positive they'll fix the points issue - and likely soon. The team really seems to take this seriously and they do a great job of fixing issues and ... appeasing us when needed.

So did anyone see the news about Net Neu ***This is a message from Century Link/Level 3 Communications - You have exceeded your allotted daily bandwidth to this website (twack.solarwinds.com). Not sure if I mentioned this one (if I did, my bad) but my current "I need to stay away from this bottle so I don't drink all of it" whisky is Bowmore's Adelphi Series 20 year. Cask strength, limited run. Mine is one bottle of a little over 600. It's from cask 2414 and was bottled, of course, in 1998. The stuff has an…

Nope, Ctrl+f did the trick nicely.
-
Oh I figured as much. Just wanted to get it out there in case it could help anyone else.
-
My profile flipped to Uruguay as well. Flipped it back to US.
-
Yep, in this case I didn't learn anything because the document is ... not good.
-
But ... but ... all my bitcoin were on NiceHash! You gotta gimme an extension! You gotta!

I have to admit to being initially caught out by the red lines. I had to get past my instincts and look harder to find the answer. Red is down, yellow is degraded. I wonder if the application can't function with latency of that degree or something. Confusing, to be certain, but maybe it shouldn't be. I dunno. But yeah, if…

Today's True/False question has the options presented in their, uhh, "classic" order.
-
I really don't like Chewy. I can't see him losing, though.
-
I thought Q6 was more of a Ctrl+f affair, to be honest. Hell, I almost selected the answer I did without even checking the hint.
-
Retcon.
-
The answer is in the hint document. You just have to pay attention to how the material is organized. It's not a Ctrl+f solution, you have to read the material carefully and answer accordingly.
-
Guys, here's how easy today's question is: "Okay… this one was a freebie."
-
Well, I'm happy to say that, as usual, SolarWinds seems, at least, to have listened to some criticism and responded positively. The questions are still pretty easy but some digging is required but, more importantly, the post-answer text is a lot better.
-
True, but my co-workers could play the game if they so chose. Folks here put in the effort so I'd rather see one of them with the prize. Plus it's not like it really matters since there's no way I'll win anyway.
