Any chance of an updated package for Google Earth? New version 7.1.7.2600 is out and I see there's been no new package for it from SolarWinds since 11/04/13.
-
Yeah, mine is showing the same Adobe packages being revised 5 days in a row. Been out of the office for a week and I see new packages are still trickling out at a snail's pace.
-
Any reason why the "Java Runtime Environment 8u101 (x86)Upgrade)" package is looking for v8.0.920.14 under the Installed Rule while the other 5 packages for JRE 8u101 are looking for v8.0.1010.13? I normally duplicate the packages and then customize them to uninstall previous versions of JRE we have running here so that's…

And FileZilla and Google Chrome and the new Apple iTunes. :-(
-
Yeah, and a new FileZilla client was released on 6/27/16 and it still hasn't been updated in the catalog.
-
The new Chrome 50 packages need to be updated. The applicability rule says "WindowsVersion greater than or equal to MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 Service Pack Major = 2 Service Pack Minor=0 Product Type=Workstation", but Chrome 50 dropped support for Windows XP and Vista. As a test I installed it anyway on my XP test VM…

Well, 6 days since 47.0.2526.73 was released by Google and still no package from SolarWinds.

I feel the same way as you. I came from an SMS/SCCM environment to this new job in 2013 where they used Patch Manager. In the 2.5 years I've been using the product I've seen very little in the way of new features being added. I'd love to see the reporting features completely revamped as the current system lacks many…
-
I agree, I've only been using PM since 6/2013 after coming from an SCCM background while working at another company and it seems like major development on the product has stalled. And after the great loss of Lawrence Garvin even tech support has dried up now in the support forums. Even the release of 2.1 left me…

I added this to my machine inventory to pull this registry entry. And then I query this info from "Computer (Registry Information)" to find out which machines have x64 Office installed.
-
I feel your pain. Been using PM since 2013 and not happy with the slow pace of development, and only minor updates at that.

I run PatchManager and WSUS 3.0 SP2 on a W2K8R2 server and can patch WS2012R2 servers just fine. You probably just need to install this WSUS 3.0 SP2 patch. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2938066 Note Before WSUS 3.0 SP2 servers (without fix 2828185 (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2828185) or newer) can manage computers…

Perhaps they were all built off the same base image and therefore have duplicate SUSClientID? Here's a few helpful links. You can also fix it on individual machines by running Patch Manager's Computer Explorer, selecting the "Repair Windows Update Agent" and then toggling on the "Reset Windows Update Agent SUS Client ID"…

They arrived on my server 5/13/15. Make sure you still have the Adobe catalogs selected under Synchronization Settings.
-
My DameWare Remote Support and Mini Remote Control still work, but after installing the February 2018 MS updates for Windows 7 I can no longer open two remote sessions. The 2nd window never opens but I can see the 2nd task running in TaskMgr. As soon as I close the first session the 2nd window opens. I also noticed that…

You must not be syncing properly. I have 8u65 and 8u66 that I pulled down from SolarWinds last week. Make sure under Administration and Reporting\Software Publishing choose Synchronization Settings on the right side after highlighting Software Publishing and then select Sun packages under the Subscription tab.
-
I duplicate the packages that come in from SolarWinds and then modify them to uninstall the previous version of JRE 8. I can't uninstall all old versions because we have some machines that need a specific version of JRE 6 for a specific application. Then I make this change in the Package Boot Editor.

Almost a week now and STILL no package for Patch Manager for this critical Adobe Flash update.
-
There have not been any updates since 7/13/16. I'm waiting on packages for Adobe Flash ActiveX 22.0.0.210, Apple iTunes 12.4.2.4, FileZilla 3.19.0, Google Chrome 52.0.2743.82 and JRE 8u101.
-
You should be able to just pull that down from Microsoft with WSUS. It's under Feature Packs.

Here are the lists of HP BIOS updates that I know about. Servers HPE Support document - HPE Support Center Workstations, Notebooks, etc. HPSBHF03573 rev. 2 - Side-Channel Analysis Method | HP Customer Support For Microsoft patches, you will need to make sure all machines running A/V software have updated to a compatible…

Under Prerequisites where you specified the PC version add a Product type of "Workstation".
-
Basically 8u101 contains security updates and 8u102 contains the security updates and new features. I normally stick with the lower one. From Oracle web site:
-
Yes, they do release patches. Sometimes to add new features, sometimes to fix bugs. If you login to the customer portal at Customer Portal Login | SolarWinds you should see all the products you have registered to your account and you can find product updates and hotfixes there.

Plugin (NPAPI) version for Firefox, PPAPI version is for Chrome. I had to push out the PPAPI version this month for our Chrome users because a bug in Symantec Endpoint Protection is preventing Chrome from updating it's Flash on it's own.

Under "Patch Manager System Configuration\Management Groups" I added the following reg key to the Inventory Configuration Editor for my domain. So now when my weekly machine inventory runs it pulls the IE version from the registry of each machine. Then I have a report under "Reporting\Configuration Management…

Still waiting for 26.0.0.131 which came out late last week.
-
I just synced at 11:57am EST and it pulled down the new Chrome packages.

On our workstations we run just the console. For the latest version 2.1.2.3034 you just download SolarWinds-Patch-Manager-v2.1.2.3034SR2-Updater.zip and then run the ew-cds-007_2.1.2.3034.exe on the machine and select a console only install. Or if there's no previous version on the machine you may need to download…

Go to the Patch Manager server that you have WSUS installed on. Run the WSUS console, not the PM console. On the right side under Actions click on "Import Updates". This will take you to the Microsoft Update Catalog page. Once at the Microsoft Update Catalog page enter the KB article for the 2003/XP patch, 4012598 and…
