Craig- I have a few questions if you don't mind 1. Are you happy with the performance of your site when you visit it, or does it still feel "slow" at times? 2. What SolarWinds Modules do you have installed?
-
Yes. For inter-VM traffic. and again I can control it not the network team
-
I know but PID 620 is gone now. Now they are all 0. Which is system idle process. I am wondering if its something to do with SQL clustering.
-
ahh, sorry i misunderstood and got overly excited that you had a fix for slowness
-
I do not, but I will start thanks
-
You need to click edit on the map widget (resource) then there is an option to display download link. Make sure that is checked
-
Thank you for your advice, I certainly appreciate it.
-
that returned ISE returns the correct results
-
I was just kidding jwester I actually had the same complaint as you. The limit is set far to low.
-
will do. As always, thank you for your help.
-
thank you for your help.
-
Ok, I will recommend patch manager then Some of the third party patches it claims to do still require some "leg work" but other than that I feel it will make a great add-on to your wsus environment. (for reasons i stated above).
-
Thank you, I will up it for sure.

This is what I had in mind when i asked this question. Instead of going through each alert to see the summary page, having a report that did it for me would be great.
-
I am guessing firewall. This post explains how to add the exception to a Group Policy
-
You saved the report in the reports folder, yes? c:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports
-
cool, hated to tell you to do that. It almost felt like I was asking you to restart your computer
-
Ok, I actually discovered a bit easier of a way. you will want to go into the trigegr actions tab of the alert and do the following. Set the schedule for send email under trigger action. Make this your during the day schedule. Add a escalation level. Set to wait 10 minutes. Add the Send email to this level but with your…

You will want to change the name of your AppStack view on the summary page(noc page). Then you will navigate to Environment menu item. From here select your newly created AppStack from the upper right dropdown. Then you will modify the filters as desired and the saved the view.

We are utilizing a tool from Thycotic. Thycotic Password Reset Server. It was easy to setup and deploy and so far has been meeting all of our requirements. https://thycotic.com/products/password-reset-server/

I know, I guess I shouldn't have posted in the helpdesk forum but didn't know where else to put it. We need a way for our users to reset their own AD domain account passwords when they get locked out of the domain. (right from the windows login screen) We would like to use a Solarwinds tool if one is available otherwise we…

thank you.

yes sir, and VMAN with SMAN Balki 1429 do you know where I can download the IVIM connector? I will try to re-install just this component.
-
haha, i hate when people do that so i apologize. It was a issue with routing on the core switch. So a reboot resolved the issue, however we still do not know what caused the corruption.
-
Im not sure why that 620 is showing in my above snip. Its not anymore.... But I will open a support case. Thank you.
-
Thank you, next question (sorry to thread jack) I have a secondary site where everything connects to a core switch(parent). When our WAN goes down sometimes it sees the child nodes as down before the parent node. Thus creating a flood of alerts. Do I just set that parent nodes status polling cycle to a shorter time?
-
no luck. I was going to ask our sql guy to try to make something for me. If he has luck I will post solution
