I will also need to make a disaster recovery plan and I think it will be usefull if somebody knew the answer to willc's questions regarding backup of items that is not in the database. Any input?
-
I would also like to see that feature. Maybe a input field where you could write what char's you want as delimiter. -Steffen

I did not have any luck, I think I will open a case. But thanks for the input. Br, Steffen Lindemann

I dont allow anonymous access to web server, but have these user configured. * AD/user1 * AD/user2 * AD/Everyone * admin user1 and 2 have the same permissions and settings as admin. But only the admin user are able to access to the /Report and 'Customize menu bar'. If I log in as user1 I get the above mentioned errors.…

I have no problem in an appliance box identify itself as a linux (which most of our appliance boxes are) - the problem (as I see it) is that I can not give these boxe a customized view in the "Views by Device Type". The customer view I made have some customer poller assigned. Is there a way around this (beside of making…

My problem was fixed by following the 3 first steps. Thanks a lot.

I think it is an active directory integration issue and I still got this. I live with it for now by having a static/local admin user that I use when I need to change settings under menus which can not be reached by an AD user. Br, -Steffen

is the testing periode over? and is this on the csz yet, if it is I can not find it. I believe this would help us as well.

We are running 9.1 SP4 and it still seems that snmpbulkwalk is missing? Our installation is keep track on a worldwide network and both the network and router/switches will benefit if we could use the bulk methode. Our internal tests shows that we could reduce both the time used and network usage with 75-85% if one is using…

The report folder for both the AD user and the static is /Reports, so this is okay.

Still, the original question begs to be answered...is there a way to import a node list? It looks like the Network Discovery module can load in a Sonar list, but it'd be nice to load up a CSV file or something. It'll beat the pants off of entering about 2100 nodes by hand. // Ian Underwood - Service Management // Level 3…

Did not work for me. I have copied the zip to both my inetpub on C: and the program directory D:solarwinds. The resources does not seems to be in the same form as other in the same directories. Can somebody maybe list the resource directory for me to compare?

I have no idea where the first line in my post comes from. It it not there when editing the post. It has nothing to do with the error.

SysObjectID: .iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.1139.16 Vendor: RSA (Owned by EMC) Model: RSA SecurID Appliance 130 AND RSA SecurID Appliance 250 (They give the same SysObjectID)

Is this tread still alive? In that case I have a wrong Juniper SA6000 VPNSSL box which is detected as Linux, the SysObjectID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.250.255 (vendor link www.juniper.net/.../) Best regards, Steffen Lindemann

Hi, I have previously used the open source tool netdisco (you can find it on http://www.netdisco.org). It is a very effective tool, which I love. However in my present network the snmp traffic it generate would be too costly to run, this is the only reason I don't run it now. Give it a seed node (or more) and let it…

+1 vote from me. In an environment with several admins and superusers it is important that everybody choices the same namings and therefore a dropdown box would be a very nice feature.
